Earlier this year, we learned of a Superman in Peru who was making international headlines.

He had refused to give video interviews to the media. Until now.

The Peruvian Superman speaks.

After 12 years as a security guard, trying his hand at bullfighting and a period of unemployment, Avelino Chavez finally found his calling by becoming Superman.

The 52-year-old is now a fixture in Lima's Plaza de Armas promoting a travel agency and talking to strangers, and says he has finally reached a place in which he feels most free.
