Scenes from Gunfire Incident Outside U.S. Capitol

The U.S. Capitol was placed on lockdown on Thursday after reports of gunshots were made in the area, according to Capitol Police.

The lockdown was lifted around 3 p.m. after a female suspect was found dead on Capitol Hill.
