Tracy Morgan, star of 30 Rock and Saturday Night Live, is making his glorious return to television. TBS reportedly outbid Comedy Central for an as-yet untitled series (which originally shot a pilot for FX) with Morgan in the lead, ordering a 10-episode first season. This will be the standup comedian’s first major role since a devastating traffic accident in 2014 left him in critical condition.

The single-camera comedy, co-created by Jordan Peele, will follow a Brooklyn native (Morgan) who returns home after a 15-year prison term to find that his neighborhood has gentrified beyond recognition. According to a TBS press release, the series will address “race relations, the Gen X/Millennial gap and the American penal system.”

No word yet on when the show will debut, but it can’t come soon enough.
