More than half of Americans now support the full legalization of marijuana, and it's ok for recreational use in two states -- Washington and Colorado. Still, the federal government considers it a dangerous drug, on par with heroin. Science shows that pot is much less harmful than drugs like alcohol and tobacco, but marijuana arrests make up roughly half of all drug arrests. The effects of an arrest can be devestating: a loss of a job and all the economic reprecussions that follow. The federal government has backed off enforcement somewhat, but officials still haven't taken a bold stand on the issue.
