Visible Ink: Helping Cancer Patients Heal Through Writing

Dealing with illness can be a struggle that takes its emotional toll both during treatment and long after recovery. Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York City created a program called Visible Ink, which pairs cancer patients with professional writers, who mentor them to express the healing process through writing projects.

In the six years since the program started, Visible Ink has enrolled over 800 patients. Fusion Live sat down with one of the program’s participants, Eliana Weissman, and her mentor, Kate Trebuss.
