Is Our White-Bread Comedy Audience Ready For Diversity in Late-Night TV?

Comedy Central recently announced that seasoned comedian Larry Wilmore will take over the 11:30 pm slot vacated by Stephen Colbert with a new show called “The Minority Report.” Wilmore currently has the title of Senior Black Correspondent on “The Daily Show.” Late-night comedy has long been a white-bread and male-dominated game, so the obvious question is whether Wilmore’s show can help break up the monotony. Alicia Menendez sat down with Jezebel.com News Editor Erin Gloria Ryan and branding and communications firm BCW Agency founder Cissi Wallin to discuss.
