Immigration activist Sofia Campos: 'The hardest part of being undocumented was questioning my own dignity'

Sofia Campos, a graduate student at MIT and immigration activist with United We Dream, was 17 years old when she found out she was undocumented.

“The hardest part of being undocumented was questioning my own dignity,” she told attendees. “Now I know better. I have found support groups. We’ve been able to empower ourselves. It’s not our fault. We’ve inherited an unjust system.”
