Laura Prepon, who plays Alex Vause on “Orange is the New Black,” sat with Fusion’s Alicia Menendez to answer some of the Internet’s most-asked questions about the star.

Fans were quick to note that her role in season 2 of OITNB was significantly smaller than her role in season 1. Many speculated this was linked to a conflict between Prepon’s religious beliefs and the show’s LGBT storylines. But when Alicia Menendez asked her if she had ever felt that conflict, Prepon explained she had not.

“I’ve been a Scientologist since 1999 and I’ve never come across any piece of info that’s negative or derogatory towards the LGBT community,” Prepon explained.

Prepon did admit she understood why people would start these rumors. “It’s human nature… people want answers.”
