Eugenio Derbez can’t walk down a street in his native Mexico without being recognized. But he’s relatively unknown by non Spanish speakers in the U.S. That looks set to change with the American debut of his new comedy, How to be a Latin Lover. The funny man has been making waves for years as an actor, director, writer, and producer. He was even named ‘Most Influential Hispanic Man in the World” by Variety in 2014. Derbez sat down with John Teti to talk about his crossover push in America, being a voice for Hispanic people, and wearing a speedo.
