Actor Heath Ledger's home videos tell his story in a new documentary

It’s been nearly ten years since Australian actor Heath Ledger died at the age of 28 from an accidental overdose of prescription drugs. Ledger won a posthumous Oscar for his role as the Joker in The Dark Knight. After his death, rumors spread that the role’s dark overtones seeped into his real life but those who knew him want to set the record straight. A new documentary, ‘I Am Heath Ledger,’ mixes interviews with home videos he shot to reveal a new side of the actor. Close friends say Ledger had dreams of becoming a director and a bright future ahead of him that was cut short.
