Mario Götze throws first pitch, makes it blindingly clear why he plays soccer and not baseball

Mario Götze can do pretty much whatever he wants with a soccer ball. Curl it, make it dip, lob it, juggle it, it’s all in his bag of tricks. But what about a baseball?

The Bayern Munich star has spent the last few days in Los Angeles, capping off his trip by throwing out the first pitch at the Dodgers game. And, well, he’s better at soccer.

At this time last year, he was in the World Cup knockout stages. He was preparing to score the winning goal in the final. So this summer isn’t going quite as well, but throwing out the first pitch in LA isn’t the worst way to spend your time off. No matter how bad the throw is.

And hey, at least he didn’t get hurt.
