The Real Winner Of The World Cup Will Be Tinder Users

Soccer players aren’t the only ones looking to score in Brazil.

With people traveling from all over the world to watch the World Cup in person, locals are getting a chance to meet a lot of new tourists and vice versa.

So the obvious thing to do is to try and find new friends and maybe even a romance or two.

The influx of people has lead to an increase in the use of Tinder, the popular “hookup” app, that lets you find people in your area.

Fifty percent more time is being spent on the dating app since the World Cup began, according to Quartz and confirmed by Tinder.

Brazil is already the third largest market for the app, behind the U.S. and UK, according to Rosette Pambakian, a Tinder spokesman.

A Tumblr page Tinder na Copa has even sprouted up to document the sexy foreign men that have all of a sudden appeared on people’s Tinder radar.

The creator is Carol Chang, a 28-year-old designer from Sao Paulo, who was impressed with the all the new “gringo” male candidates all of a sudden coming through.

She and her friends decided to create the blog to post hundreds of screenshots of their favorite foreign eye candy.

The blog was created in May and has over 600 posts.

Even when their teams lose, visitors will still be able to enjoy the world’s second most popular sport — but, unlike soccer players, please don’t fake it!
