This weekend President Obama announced he would act on immigration reform after the midterm elections and not by the end of this summer, as originally promised. This comes after many previous promises, dating back to his campaign for presidency in 2008.
There are those who will argue that it’s more important for the president to do reform right, than to do it right now, but that sounds like an excuse your boyfriend uses every time you ask him to have dinner with your parents. How many promises can the president break before it’s clear that “later” means “never?” “You’re right, you’re right, we know you’re right.”
