Bill O’Reilly says he was just as hard on President Bush as he was on President Obama. In an interview with Fusion’s Jorge Ramos, O’Reilly challenged criticism that he was soft on the Republican president, adding “I gave him the hardest questions I could give him.”
Ramos was referring to O’Reilly’s 2004 interview with the president, when he asked Bush what happened to Saddam’s chemical arsenal.
Ramos said to O’Reilly, “[Bush] told you “I don’t know.” And you let him get away with that!”
“Nine-eleven defined the Bush administration, you must know that,” O’Reilly said. “That’s why the weapons of mass destruction was accepted by most journalists.”
When Ramos said journalists did not do their job correctly, O’Reilly said, “I disagree with you.”
