Edward Snowden: Putting the Class Back in Classified

In a recent interview with Brian WIlliams, Edward Snowden defended himself, claiming to be a patriot.

Snowden told Williams, “…I’ve gained the ability to go to sleep at night and to put my head on the pillow and feel comfortable that I’ve done the right thing even when it was the hard thing.” Hopefully, his pillow is soft.

Snowden also claimed that leaking classified information hasn’t hurt anyone in particular. However, critics were quick to point out that his actions actually strained relationships between the US and other world leaders like Chancellor Merkel of Germany and President Rouseff of Brazil (because now they know we’re spying on them and they’re PISSED).

Meanwhile, John Kerry called Snowden a coward and a traitor, claiming his actions helped terrorists by revealing government methods for collecting intelligence.

These methods, such as watching your computer screen, may seem shocking to some, but anyone who has worked in IT for a few years can sadly tell you nothing about your computer is private (also, we know what you downloaded last night).
