It's Time to Start Demanding Accountability For the Lack of Female Co-Founders

Yes, it’s 2014 and women are still in a bad spot when it comes to business.

Think about this: Women account for 47 percent of labor force in the United States, but only represent 14.3 percent of the executive positions.

Some argue the lack of female representation has led to a frat-like atmosphere and misogyny in the tech industry.

Last week, the only female co-founder of Tinder filed a lawsuit against the popular dating app, accusing her fellow executives of calling her a “whore” and not including her name in press materials because “having a girl founder would decrease the company’s value.”

For Natalia Oberti Noguera, the founder of Pipeline Fellowship, an angel investing boot camp for women, investors can challenge the boys’ club culture if they dare to ask one question: “Do you have a female co-founder?”
